Acupuncture

Acupuncture has long been the preferred therapy in China, later giving way to Chinese herbs. It was practiced at the beginning with sharpened stones, today very fine sterilized disposable needles are used.

The needles are placed on acupuncture points, themselves belonging, for the most part, to meridians which run through the human body and which are linked to different organs. When these points are stimulated, effects are produced on the meridians and associated organs.

Acupuncture treats a wide range of diseases and symptoms, see here

For sports people, whether amateur or professional, acupuncture effectively treats damage to muscles, tendons and the skeleton. For more information on this subject, see the page "For the athlete» .
